McCaffrey Homes earns two Gold Nugget Awards

06-04-2019

McCaffrey Homes recently received two merit awards during the 2019 Pacific Coast Builder Conference’s Gold Nugget Awards.  The prestigious awards recognize the most exciting trends in design, planning and building and are selected by a panel of top industry experts who reviewed more than 600 entries from around the world.

Now in its 56th year, Gold Nugget Awards is the largest and most prestigious competition of its kind in the nation. It honors design and planning achievements in community and home design, green-built housing, site planning, commercial, retail, mixed-use development and specialty housing categories.

“It is a significant honor to have our innovative home designs recognized by our industry peers,” said Brent McCaffrey, president of McCaffrey Homes.  “McCaffrey Homes takes pride in responding to the lifestyle needs of our homebuyers with a spirit of innovation.”

The Bryce and Katelyn floorplans in the McCaffrey Homes’ Altura collection were designed exclusively for Tesoro Viejo, the newest award-winning, master-planned community in Madera County.  Located in the first residential village of Hillside Village, the models were selected for their innovative designs in two categories.

The Bryce model received the Award of Merit in the Best Single Family Detached Home Under 1,800 Square Feet and the Katelyn model received the Award of Merit in the Best Single Family Detached Home 2,500 – 2,999 square feet.

“KTGY was thrilled to pour our attention into this Altura neighborhood that would offer first-time buyers high-design homes combined with this community’s usual attention to flexibility and options,” said Jill D. Williams, AIA, Principal and Chairman of KTGY Architecture + Planning. “McCaffrey continues to impress the market with their commitment to unique designs at all price ranges at Tesoro Viejo – they are one of a kind.”

Both the Bryce and Katelyn floorplans include money-saving efficiencies, elegant finishes; and bright, open spaces.  Each floor plan includes a loft or den option, gourmet kitchens, luxurious master bathrooms, and 8-foot tall sliding glass door to the backyard to let the natural light in.  In addition, the Katelyn floorplan includes the option for the innovative hobby room or idea room – a flexible space that inspires creativity.

Tesoro Viejo is a 1,600-acre master-planned community in the heart of Madera County’s planned growth area in Central California’s southeastern Madera County.   The community includes nearly 200 acres of permanently preserved natural open spaces plus an additional 200 acres or more of neighborhood parks, recreational areas and miles of trails that will connect to the San Joaquin River. It is a complete community with a mix of residences, employment, recreation and commercial uses literally making Tesoro Viejo a place where residents can live, work, and play.
