Madera County, Fresno & Clovis Recognize McCaffrey Homes’ 50th Anniversary
Posted: August 18, 2026
For 50 years, McCaffrey Homes has had the privilege of helping families put down roots, build memories and create a place to call home throughout the Central Valley.
This milestone anniversary recently took on special meaning as McCaffrey Homes was recognized by Madera County, the City of Fresno and the City of Clovis for five decades of homebuilding and for our commitment to creating quality homes, thriving neighborhoods and exceptional customer service.
These recognitions represent more than an anniversary. They reflect a journey that has taken us through three regions in the Central Valley, countless communities and generations of families—and a commitment that has remained constant along the way.
From Madera County, and Back Again
Madera County is where the McCaffrey homebuilding story began. It was here that we launched our career as homebuilders, establishing the foundation for a company that would grow alongside the communities we were privileged to serve.
Decades later, our journey came full circle.
We returned to Madera County to build in Riverstone, a thoughtfully planned master-planned community, and later took an even greater role in shaping the future of the county as co-founders and developers of Tesoro Viejo, the 1,600-acre master-planned community. Tesoro Viejo represents many of the principles that have guided McCaffrey Homes.
At the heart of Tesoro Viejo is a commitment to family, connection and creating a true sense of community. Residents enjoy resort-style amenities, approximately 15 miles of trails, thoughtfully designed neighborhood parks, an on-site elementary/middle school, a vibrant Town Center and a year-round calendar of community events. Together, these thoughtfully curated amenities create a welcoming place where families can live, learn, connect and enjoy an active lifestyle—all within a community they’re proud to call home.
Growing With Fresno
Our story in Fresno began with our first community at Clovis and Belmont Avenues, developed with the Legacy Homes series.
From that starting point, our presence expanded across the city. We would go on to build communities throughout Northeast Fresno, Northwest Fresno, Southeast Fresno and beyond, becoming part of neighborhoods where generations of families have grown and thrived.
Every community has its own character, but the goal has remained the same: create homes that families are proud to own and neighborhoods where people genuinely want to live.
Being recognized by the City of Fresno for 50 years of service is especially meaningful because it acknowledges not simply the homes we have built, but the lasting relationships and connections created within those communities.
Helping Shape Clovis
In Clovis, McCaffrey Homes was among the first builders to enter Loma Vista Village, a transformative master-planned area envisioned by the City of Clovis designed around connectivity, walkability and community.
We embraced that vision by helping create neighborhoods that extend beyond the walls of a home. Through the creation of neighborhood parks, trails and open spaces, we helped contribute to a community designed to bring people together and encourage an active, connected lifestyle.
That philosophy continues to influence how we approach homebuilding today. We believe a great community is more than a collection of houses. It is a place where neighbors meet, children play, families gather and memories are made.

50 Years—and Generations to Come
Being recognized by Madera County and the Cities of Fresno and Clovis for our 50th anniversary is an honor that belongs to everyone who has been part of the McCaffrey Homes story: our employees, trade partners, homeowners, community partners and the families who have trusted us to build their homes.
Over five decades, we have watched the Central Valley grow and have been fortunate to grow with it. We have built homes in places that have evolved into established neighborhoods, helped shape new master-planned communities and welcomed generations of homeowners.
But perhaps the greatest measure of 50 years isn't the number of homes built or communities developed. It is the number of lives touched along the way.
A home is where life happens. It is where families celebrate milestones, children grow up, friendships form and generations gather.
For 50 years, McCaffrey Homes has been honored to play a small part in those stories.
We are grateful to Madera County, the City of Fresno and the City of Clovis for recognizing this milestone—and even more grateful to the Central Valley families who have made our work so meaningful.
Fifty years behind us. A legacy to celebrate. And a future still being built.
