McCaffrey Homes Offers Something for Everyone

Many of us have fond memories of growing up with our grandparents or other relatives, and these days, it’s more common than ever to have multiple generations living together under one roof. Providing a space for aging parents, adult children returning home, or even just guests, is a priority for how we live today. McCaffrey Homes are built with this in mind and are designed to accommodate loved ones and more.

“From our oversized great rooms and open floor plans to entertainment kitchens and seamless indoor/outdoor living, our homes are ideal for multi-generational households,” says Ash Knowlton, vice president of construction at McCaffrey Homes.

It’s important to find the home design that best fits your family. Comings and goings and daily routines in a multi-generational home require a layout that is flexible and allows privacy and independence for everyone. We offer a variety of home plans that are designed with careful thought given to balancing how families live together comfortably with privacy.

As an example, our Ivy Makenna and Mary Lou plans both offer a Multi-Gen Suite, which features a sitting/living room in addition to the bedroom and bath.  You can also add an optional kitchenette or laundry to these designs, making them like a small apartment ideal for a grandparent or young adult wanting additional space.

For even more independence, a separate entrance with an optional kitchenette is offered in the Multi-Gen Suite in the Meadow plan of our Savanna collection. Another alternative is the Sage plan, which keeps it simple with the option for a Junior Owners Suite, complete with a private bedroom, bathroom and large closet ideally located on the first floor.

These flexible and dynamic spaces can also be used now or in the future as a home gym, remote workspace, or guest suite without the hassle of remodeling or adding on.

From grandparents enjoying living with grandchildren – to adult children moving back in – we know that the best moments in life happen at home.  We’ve designed our homes with this in mind, to ensure that family won’t miss a thing.
