For Tiffany and Leon Ollison, the search for their first home
started in the competitive Southern California housing market, where
investors often have the advantage over everyday families. They made ten
offers on homes in Los Angeles, only to be outbid every time.
Discouraged but not ready to give up on finding their family’s dream
home, the Ollisons searched Google for builders in California.
“McCaffrey was among the first few websites that populated,” says
Tiffany. “When we clicked the page it was a picture of the model home
kitchen. It was stunning! I said, ‘That’s it, that’s our home!’”
With the capability to work from anywhere, Tiffany and Leon explored options by McCaffrey Homes at Tesoro Viejo in Madera
County with their two daughters in tow. “The homes offered by McCaffrey
were more than just a beautiful home,” they said. “McCaffrey Homes was
offering a community and a lifestyle.”
Tiffany and Leon landed on the Valley Oak plan with a Contemporary
Rustic elevation in the McCaffrey Homes Oaks neighborhood, which checked
all of the boxes for their relocating family. “Our home needed to
provide private office space for my husband and I, as we now work
remotely,” Tiffany says. “McCaffrey Homes was the ONLY builder that
offered a multi-gen on the first floor that could sincerely be closed
off from the rest of the house. It was important to us that we maintain a
separation between our home and work life.”
From there, the building process took off, with the guidance of their
McCaffrey Homes Community Representative, Janice. “She really just took
care of us from day one,” the Ollisons added. “We instantly felt like
we were making the right decision. Janice was diligent in communicating
with us and was sincerely our advocate.”
Even in the midst of the pandemic, the Ollisons found the process to
be relatively painless, and their new home truly suits their needs – and
then some. When asked what their favorite home features are, Tiffany
had plenty to say. “The size, the staircase, the backyard, the loft for
my girls, the pantry, my stand alone tub, my office’s separate entrance
and my walk-in closet! This would have been an easier question to answer
had you asked what I DON’T LIKE about my new home. The answer would
have then been NOTHING! There is NOTHING I don’t like about our new
home.”
