New Park Opens Near McCaffrey Communities

06-19-2015

McCaffrey Homes is excited to announce the opening of a new park where its northwest Fresno neighbors can relax and play. A ribbon cutting ceremony was held on June 19 celebrating the completion of the new Turtle Bay Park at Herndon and Hayes avenues.

Themed after its street name of Turtle Bay Drive, the park features a tortoise sculpture for children to climb on, a children's play structure with slide and plenty of seating. Nearby residents can access the park via the Herndon Urban Trail, which links to adjacent neighborhoods and retail centers.

Fresno City Councilman Sal Quintero, the Fresno Chamber Ambassadors and McCaffrey homeowners were on hand as neighborhood children, Liam and Leland Baker, cut the ribbon to officially open the new park. Councilman Quintero noted that McCaffrey's completion of the new park will be a great new amenity for the City of Fresno and will add to its green space.

"We hope the new park will provide recreation and enjoyment for many generations to come," said Karen McCaffrey, vice president of McCaffrey Homes. "It's very important for our family and team to give back to our community and enhance the neighborhoods we all call home."
