Elizabeth R. McCaffrey, VP of Administration of McCaffrey Homes, has been appointed to serve on the board of directors of California's Central Valley Division of March of Dimes.
"We are pleased to announce the addition of Elizabeth McCaffrey to our Board of Directors," said Nancy Conway, the organization's Executive Director.
"Liz is not only a proven business leader," Conway said. "She has also had the good fortune of being the mother of two healthy young children. Her commitment to improving the quality of life in our community – and her passion for helping others through giving back – will certainly assist March of Dimes Central California Division to achieve its mission of improving the health of babies by preventing birth defects, premature birth and infant mortality."
Elizabeth McCaffrey will be introduced to the community at the March of Dimes Signature Chef's Auction event on Wednesday, November 12, 2014 at The Grand, featuring more than 15 local chefs and vintners. "March of Dimes is a non-profit organization that helps mothers have full-term pregnancies and researches the problems that threaten the health of babies," Elizabeth McCaffrey said.
"As a mother of two young boys,' McCaffrey added, "I am passionate about the health of pregnant mothers and babies. The research done by March of Dimes has assisted me during my two pregnancies and I am grateful for the time, effort and generous donations that made it possible. It is an honor to be part of an organization that provides research and support for the most essential and earliest stages of life. This help is invaluable and lasts a lifetime."
Elizabeth McCaffrey received a BA in Economics and an MBA in Finance from Rice University in Houston, Tex. She has served as VP Administration for McCaffrey Homes since 2007 and previously worked with Smith Barney, Nissan North America and FCA Corp.
