The McCaffrey Group's Headquarters Wins Gold Nugget Merit Award

The McCaffrey Group's new corporate office won an Award of Merit at the 2007 Gold Nugget Awards program at the Pacific Coast Builders Conference (PCBC) held in San Francisco.  The headquarters building won in the category of Best Office/Professional Building.

The oldest and largest program of its kind in the United States, the Gold Nugget competition honors creative achievement in architectural design and land use. This year’s program drew 577 entries, in categories that included residential, commercial, land planning and green and sustainable projects.  Judges were prominent builder/developers, architects and planners from the 14 Western states served by PCBC, one of the nation’s largest regional conferences and expositions for professionals in the real estate development field.

The 13,000 square-foot headquarters houses The McCaffrey Group and its home construction, realty and mortgage divisions. Fresno-based T-Squared Architects was the architect/designer of the building, which is characterized by dramatic Italian architecture embellished with dramatic stone rotundas, elegant columns and a stone fountain at the entrance.

“The McCaffrey Group wanted a building they would be proud to share with the community. The design process was long and demanding, but the hard work paid off.  The result was a spectacular building that adds to the area’s appeal,” said Warren Thompson, architect/owner of T-Squared Architects.

This latest award comes on the heels of the recent Best In American Living gold award by Professional Builder Magazine and the National Association of Home Builders and the Orchid Award given to The McCaffrey Group by the city of Fresno.  The McCaffrey Group was builder/developer of the award-winning building. 

The McCaffrey Group builds quality neighborhoods throughout the Central Valley.  The company is currently selling its Hampton Renaissance homes at its neighborhoods in northwest Fresno and at Loma Vista in Clovis and recently opened its Madison Place neighborhood in Northwest Fresno.  It is also selling custom lots at its Treviso neighborhood in northwest Fresno.
