You're on the path, as you meet with your Community Representative to reserve your lot & make your initial deposit. You'll complete a quick, one-page First Step Loan Application which we'll forward to McCaffrey Home Mortgage for approval. Don't worry, we'll hold your selected homesite for 5 business days while you determine your financing.

Realizing your dream.

During your 5-day homesite hold, you'll meet with McCaffrey Home Mortgage to determine the loan program that meets your financial needs or you may provide loan approval from an outside lender or provide evidence of sufficient funds to purchase without a loan. When meeting with McCaffrey Home Mortgage your Loan Consultant will discuss your budget and the maximum loan amount for your home.

It's all in the details.

You'll receive from McCaffrey Home Mortgage your "Good Faith Estimate of Expenses" & "Truth in Lending" Statements with details on your new loan as you obtain loan approval.

You're on your way!

You'll meet with your Community Representative to review the details and important facts about your new home and its community as you convert your homesite hold into a purchase agreement.

It's official!

You're a part of the McCaffrey Homes family, as the purchase agreement is accepted and escrow is opened. As a member of the family, you'll receive your New Homeowners Manual along with a user name and password to open the door to our online interactive home buying guide.

The fun part!

You'll meet with our Design Consultant at the McCaffrey Home Design Studio to learn about the selections available to personalize your new home.

Signature style all your own!

The final meeting at the Design Studio is when you'll confirm and finalize your selections for your new home. At this time, you'll either pay for your options or make a deposit if your options will be added to your mortgage loan.

Your signature style is complete!

After personalizing your home at the Design Studio, McCaffrey Home Mortgage issues a new "Good Faith Estimate" for any items that you have added into your mortgage loan. Your updated "Good Faith Estimate" is then forwarded to your Community Representative who will meet with you to amend your purchase agreement to include your selections. If you're financing selections, we'll also collect any additional funds needed to complete your down payment at this time.

Get to Know Your Home from the Inside Out!

Prior to drywall installation, you’ll meet with a McCaffrey Homes construction professional for a guided tour of the inner workings of your home, the location of utility and water shut off valves, property boundaries, as well as verify that some of your selections at this stage of construction are installed .

For your peace of mind.

McCaffrey Home Mortgage will be in contact with your Community Representative and will contact you about 45 days prior to closing about locking in your interest rate.

Get ready!

Approximately 30 days prior to close of escrow, you will meet with your Community Representative for an overview and detailed explanation of the New Home Orientation Tour of your new home, escrow final documents and funding, and receiving your keys. A reminder that you will soon need to arrange to have utilities changed to your name and provide escrow proof of insurance.

Get out the pen!

As you'll meet with an Escrow Officer to sign your final closing documents and bring in any remaining funds to the Title Company. Be sure to bring valid photo identification such as a driver's license or passport for proof of identity.

We're getting close!

A McCaffrey Homes construction professional will conduct a room-by room tour to demonstrate the operating procedures of the key components of your home as well as review the warranty service procedure.

As your loan is funded.

Hold out your hands!

As we hand you the keys to your new home after the Grant Deed is recorded (usually three business days after your Home Orientation Tour). You'll receive your keys from your Community Representative at your community's Welcome Center. Welcome Home!

At 30 days, we'll meet with you to answer any questions you may have and to review home care and maintenance tips for your new home.

We're still here.

As part of our commitment to service, we provide a complimentary eleven month touch-up visit for normal items like nail pops, drywall, grout and tile separations. You have the comfort of knowing that McCaffrey Homes will be there for you even after you've moved into your new home.

You will receive three surveys from a third party survey company, at 30 days, five months and eleven months as we listen and act upon your suggestions to continually strive to make your home buying and home ownership experience as rewarding as possible.
