The Brandons

When Ryan and Ofelia Brandon started looking at new home communities, Ryan said they were just "toying with the idea" of moving, because it was a want, rather than a need. But, when they visited Hampton Renaissance they said they found a home that they really liked and was a good fit for their needs.

With two young girls, they chose the four-bedroom Chateau Classique plan. The home offers up to 6 bedrooms, but the Brandons chose the bonus room option rather than the two extra bedrooms. They use the bonus room as a game/entertainment room with a pool table, sitting area and television. They use the downstairs bedroom as an office/homework area.

The floorplan was a major factor in their decision to purchase the home, but Ryan said that the neighborhood’s location directly across the street from River Bluff Elementary was the other determining factor as both of their daughters attend school there. When the girls get a little older, they'll also be able to walk across the street to Rio Vista Middle School. Both schools are in the award winning Central Unified School District.

The Brandons' new Hampton Renaissance home was their first purchase of a McCaffrey home, but the couple has family members living in McCaffrey homes. "They're happy with the quality and the features of their homes, so that made us feel comfortable with the quality," said Mr. Brandon.

Mrs. Brandon loves to cook and bake, so she especially likes the kitchen of their new home. They also like the separate living room and family room, citing that the home’s downstairs layout is ideal for entertaining.

The Brandons used McCaffrey Home Mortgage to finance the purchase of their new home because they felt it was more convenient than using another company. "Dealing with the mortgage folks was very pleasant. They kept us informed throughout the process," said Mr. Brandon.

The Brandons said that the homebuying experience was "wonderful from beginning to end. We expected a stressful experience, but everything went smoothly in contrast to homes we purchased in the past," said Mr. Brandon.
