The Eliant rankings emerged from the tabulation of surveys received from new homeowners of over 140 builders across the U.S. and Canada. Eliant is a San Clemente based research firm that works with the top homebuilding companies in North America.

"Our analysis has shown that it is much more difficult to achieve high marks with homeowners 10-12 months after the sale. Mirman detailed that Eliant's key measures include home owners' ratings of: Overall quality of construction, the homebuilder's ability to meet or exceed promises, and the homeowner willingness to refer a friend.
